About Geraint Pinches
Geraint is a litigation and dispute resolution partner at international law firm, gunnercooke LLP. He qualified as a solicitor in 2006 having studied at the Universities of Durham and Leeds. Since qualification, he has practised exclusively in commercial dispute resolution, including being involved in over 70 mediations. Geraint has experience of all manner of disputes: from low value disputes over a defective car, to multi million pound business disputes in the High Court, to groundbreaking cases in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Why mediate?
Litigation carries risk: risk of losing and risk of being ordered to pay substantial legal fees. As any good lawyer will tell you, this is so whatever the strength of your case: litigation is simply not risk free. The process of mediation helps you to de-risk your dispute. If you settle at mediation itself, you enjoy certainty of outcome and, in many cases, a commercially acceptable settlement which a Court simply cannot give you. Even if you do not settle at mediation, the process helps the parties to identify what the core issues between them really are, to focus on those issues, and settlement often follows soon after.

Online v Face to Face Mediation
Online Mediation
Prior to the COVID pandemic, online mediation was almost unheard of yet is rapidly becoming the norm. I offer a complete online mediation facility using Zoom or Teams. I make use of private online meeting rooms so that you (and your legal team, if you have one) can be assured of complete confidentiality throughout.
Face to Face Mediation
I am equally very happy to conduct face to face mediations for those who prefer it. I can come to your offices or can also arrange private meeting rooms in a number of cities across the UK, which are charged to the parties at cost.
Fees (per party)
Half day mediation (4 hours)
£650 plus VAT (includes 2 hours preparation time). £120 plus VAT per hour thereafter.
